The customer was looking for a partner to:

  • Take full responsibility for Flight Controls Software Testing on a program that was behind schedule and in need of realignment.
  • Efficiently completed Reliability-Based Testing (RBT) within stringent schedule constraints, ensuring timely execution of both ground and flight tests, while meeting rigorous quality standards and project deadlines.

Solution

  • Proposed a self-managed V&V team consisting of a Project Manager/Scrum Master, Technical Leaders, and 25 Software V&V engineers.
  • This team was built upon an existing group of 12 engineers already working on the project under client management. EXB transformed the team by adding PM, Technical Leaders and 13 additional engineers.
  • Established and delivered revised estimates, KPIs and metrics for the RBT group, team, and individual levels.
  • Standardized development process for script and procedure generation for each RBT, ensuring repeatable adherence to quality standards.
  • Overseeing & auditing documents to comply with DO-178 standards and integrating with client’s processes.
