Current Opportunities

Aero-Thermal Engineer

Use computational tools to perform thermal and/or CFD analysis for aerospace components. Perform all steps of the analysis process, including: geometry and mesh preparation, model setup and analysis. Post-process and prepare high-quality presentations of results. Document all work according to customer requirements. Prepare and present reports on findings on formal technical reviews.

Mechanical Design Engineer
Own the design and structural analysis of components for aerospace applications. Capture system requirements from the customer and incorporate into the component design. Support technical substantiation, contribute and present in technical and program reviews. Develop components and modules keeping cost, performance, life, and system requirements in mind. Design and Analysis of the component using CAE tools (NX, ANSYS Classic, ANSYS workbench). Direct interface with other internal/external engineering areas. Apply technical principles, theories, and concepts to solve a wide range of challenging engineering problems. Evaluate fit, form, function and life of the components relative to the certified configuration.
Mechanical Designer and Drafter
Create definition of parts, modules, and assemblies related to aero engine and aerospace products, in the form of 2D cross sections, 3D reusable models, MBD in a linked model environment, tolerance stack-ups, change in design co-authoring and various other electronic data formats to support engineering, analysis, manufacturing, assembly, tooling, quality and inspection. Work with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain partners to determine dimensional constraints and geometric tolerances required for proper clearances and fits while maximizing manufacturing producibility, maintainability, reliability, and durability. Ensure all interfaces between components & assemblies are established and agreed upon by engineering teams of mating parts and engine systems. Working knowledge of computer aided design (CAD), computer aided manufacturing (CAM), manufacturing processes, and in Siemens or Dassault environment. Work within the guidelines of applicable Policies & Procedures, Engineering Standards, Specifications, and compliance procedures.
Structural / Aero-Structures FEA Engineer

Use computational tools to perform FEA for aerospace components and products. Working in a team setting, helping co-workers solve issues. Geometry and mesh preparation, model setup and analysis, post-process and prepare high-quality presentations of results according to customer requirements. Prepare and present reports on findings in technical reviews. Work with other engineers, customers, and vendors as a team to efficiently support the program plans and schedules. Develop innovative ideas and productivity improvements to improve cost on customer products and team deliverables. Work within budgetary and schedule constraints.

Project Support / Coordination / EVMS

Engage with customer’s engineering teams on a regular rhythm to status milestones, deliverables, risks, and ensure correct charging and document and track action items. Work with customer’s engineers to manage and update hardware tracking sheets and, as necessary, locate items on the shop floor. Organize and support review meetings including: scheduling and attending meetings, compiling presentation material, and tracking action items to closure, storing artifacts in the appropriate databases. Tracking of inquiries related to drawing and orders, both internal to the customer and from the supplier. Creating and presenting weekly and monthly status reports for Program leaders. Develop tools using excel, and track and manage data through set of database interfaces. Coordinate EVM analyses, developing processes and standards for collecting, tracking, analyzing, and disseminating cost and schedule data.

Team Lead / Program Manager
Personnel management of a team of 6-30 indirect and 6-10 direct employees. Manage and develop a customer-focused program of engineers with a wide range of experience and expertise. Build and manage customer relationships to ensure workload pipeline is full, develop and execute strategies for team growth. Follow all QuEST policies and procedures to ensure proper employee performance and development (metrics, performance reviews, training plans, etc.). Coordinate growth strategy planning and execution with customer specific account management team(s). Develop innovative ideas to improve cost on customer products / parts (redesign / process improvements). Monitor and improve project/program health governance structure. Manage recruitment initiatives with hiring managers on the team, participate in interviews and onboarding. Support proposal development of new tasks (solution development, cost structure, schedule, and scope). Develop internal processes and procedures based on best practices and lessons learned, where applicable. Collaborate with resource managers internally and externally to staff projects and ensure workload continuity. Contribute and present in technical and program reviews. Apply technical principles, theories, and concepts to solve a wide range of challenging engineering problems. Technical Program Management (joining kickoffs, develop project plans, templates, reviews) may be required. This position description is not intended to be all-inclusive and employee will also perform other tasks as assigned.
Systems Integration / Ground Test / Flight Test Engineer

Develop Integration Test Plans, Test Procedures, Technical Performance Measures (TPMs), Perform Data Analysis, develop and provide capability maturation metrics to assess test progress. Support technical planning and execution of an integrated test plan including procedure development, laboratory coordination, test execution and verification for functional integration. Understanding of Systems Integration and Test and Product Development Lifecycles. Provide operational technical support to Simulation and Systems Integration Lab (SimSIL) systems. Support day-to-day operations, troubleshooting, maintenance, configuration management and support of systems test/simulation host computers, projection and display systems, hardware, electronic interfaces and mechanical assemblies – focus on activities within Labs supporting a 24/7 test schedule. Work with other engineers, customers, and suppliers as a team to efficiently support system integration and configuration management, scheduled events, maintain equipment, and comply with applicable security policies and procedures. May also be required to coordinate the resolution of facilities maintenance and lab scheduling issues.

Data Scientist / Data Engineer
Enhance data collection procedures to include all relevant information for developing analytic systems. Mine and extract data from various sources to maintain data quality programs and leverage these sources to identify and interpret trends or patterns in complex datasets. Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA), data profiling, and data cleaning on a variety of datasets. Learn and identify data relationships across multiple contributing sources, developing, and discovering direct and inferred data relationships where rules can be defined and consistently applied, and other strategies to optimize the efficiency and quality of the data being collected, normalized, and delivered. Utilize statistical analysis and computing while reviewing large data sets and creating visualization stories with the data. Carry out preprocessing of structured and unstructured data. Build Machine learning models for predictions and build common frameworks/integrations/structures so that models can be used across multiple datasets. Develop statistical and machine learning algorithms, inference rules, probabilistic models, simulation models, prediction systems and visualizations for client pilots and scaled solutions.
Software Engineer / Developer

Capturing, understanding, and documenting software requirements for various functions of aerospace products (embedded or supporting applications) using various programming languages such as C, C#, or Java. Understanding and implementing software verification plans, strategies, and test procedures. Authoring as well as updating software tests in various scripting languages such as Python or Visual Basic. Ability to identify and report issues in software or test environment to technical leads timely. Participate in technical and program reviews and software reviews and testing. Create documentation and technical reports consistent with the customer’s best practices, processes and methodology. Help evaluate and develop engineering tools and software and make changes to the engineering processes as necessary. Investigate problems/issues, collect information, and provide resolutions.

Scrum Master / Agile Coach
Facilitates the sizing of stories during the planning sprint, backlog grooming, or sprint planning sessions for the team. Develops and maintains a productive working relationship with business owners, product owners, project sponsors, vendors and key clients. Establishing team level cadence and driving team level ceremonies (e.g. sprint planning, team retrospectives, backlog grooming, etc.). Work with the teams to drive the definition and refinement of the program and team backlogs. Escalate to leadership where needed and where possible remove impediments for the team(s). Maintain metrics that provide visibility to stakeholders on team-level progress and quality. Act as a liaison to assigned program manager and project managers. Take responsibility for managing dependencies between the program team and third parties, release managers, or between the team and other scrum teams. Provide real time feedback to the methodology team based on experiences with software delivery teams. Ensures scope, goals, milestones, budget, risk, status, change requests and critical issues are effectively communicated to the client and project team. Use historical velocity and planned velocity to assist team with commitments. Conducts formal review with business sponsor at project completion to confirm acceptance and satisfaction. Tracks and measures client satisfaction levels and make and implement recommendations. Generates appropriate communication, process and educational plans for mitigating the disruption of change while facilitating identification and removal of obstacles to change. Identify and remove technical and/or organizational challenges standing in the way of allowing your team to reach its full potential.
Controls Verification & Validation
Execute projects involving the engineering design and development of real-time control system software and automated test equipment software used to develop and certify aerospace product control systems. Development of software tools, write test plans, perform software verification and validation test, develop, and run test vectors, and model-based code development. Identify V&V requirements for each functional subsystem, customer, and/or requirements. Generate Validation Test and gain approval via Tollgate system or Technical Reviewers. Review and test designs through code review, simulation in software (NPSS, Simics) and testing on the hardware rig. Weekly documentation of progress, completed tests, report creation, etc. Documentation in all the phases of life cycle (requirements, V&V). Follow aviation standards in verifying the design and implementation of control systems software. Interact with engineering customers to understand and realize new opportunities. Ability to work in a customer facing, hands-on, team environment
FPGA Design & Verification Engineer

Develop/design FPGAs for aerospace product technology applications. Perform FPGA verification and testing procedures. Responsibilities will span the FPGA lifecycle, including: requirements generation, architecture development, design, verification, and implementation support. Working with a cross-functional team during module/unit/system level integration and test in the laboratory. Provide support to qualification test activities. Interact with customers and transpose requirements into technical designs. Develop design documents, project documentation, release documents, and technical procedural documentation. Work within budgetary and schedule constraints. Present work to customers at Product Reviews. Contribute to the Scrum/Agile working environment. Interface with other QuEST departments to achieve cross functional goals.
