Roles & Responsibilities:
- Lead, develop, and mentor a diverse team of engineers with expertise spanning mechanical design and analysis, heat transfer and CFD analysis, and non-conformance disposition and analysis.
- Oversee resource allocation, goal establishment, coaching, and day-to-day management.
- Cultivate and nurture relationships with customer counterparts, expanding opportunities and contributing to business development efforts.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to engineers, leveraging insights from industry-renowned experts.
- Ensure adherence to Quest's policies and procedures for optimal employee performance and growth.
- Track project finances and report status.
- Maintain project schedules and uphold delivery excellence.
- Manage monthly project invoicing.
- Support recruitment initiatives through interviews and onboarding processes.
- Contribute to project planning for new and existing tasks, encompassing cost, schedule, and scope considerations.
- Participate in proposal preparation and risk assessments.
- Develop and refine internal processes based on best practices and lessons learned.
- Collaborate with internal and external resource managers to appropriately staff projects.
- Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills in interactions with internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide weekly status reports, engage in SOW discussions, and address scope revisions.
Required Skills:
- Possess a minimum of 5 years' experience in the aerospace industry.
- Hold a BS/B.Tech degree in Mechanical/Aero/Civil engineering, a related technical field, or possess equivalent experience.
- Exhibit the ability to meet deadlines, thrive under time constraints, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Display strong interpersonal skills, interacting adeptly with individuals at all organizational levels.
- Thrive in a collaborative team environment with excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Embrace a fast-paced, creative work environment.
- Value working within dynamic, diverse teams and enjoy fostering camaraderie.
- Due to project requirements, U.S. Citizenship is mandatory, and willingness to obtain a DoD secret clearance is necessary.
Desired Skills:
- Preference for previous personnel management experience.
- Previous exposure to project management.
- Familiarity with ANSYS Analysis products.
- Proficiency in CAD tools, design, and manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with Aero Engines.
- Experience with data analytics, quality practices, and root cause analysis.
- Possession of an active DoD secret clearance.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
- Primarily office-based, occasional involvement in shop floor activities.
- Substantial telephone and computer usage.
- Adherence to strict procedures within heavily regulated industries.
- Flexibility to meet business deadlines, including potential for extended hours.
- Standard 8-hour workdays with lunch, totaling 40-hour workweeks. Core hours: 9 AM to 4 PM.
- Ability to utilize personal transportation for customer site visits.
