The Role:
Quest Defense is looking for a Planner with experience developing planning/work instructions to upgrade and modify military fighter aircraft based on Engineering drawings, Technical data, process specifications and inputs from Manufacturing Engineering
Key Required Skills:
Experience with aircraft production planning development for installations, sub-assembly, assemblies and aircraft mate operations.
Experience with reviewing and interpreting AC engineering drawings, Process Specifications, Tooling Specifications, and Technical data to translate to work instructions for mechanics.
Experience to mentor/coach peer planners and support root cause corrective actions with other support functions to improve efficiency and quality.
Experience with F-16, F-18, F-22, F-35 or C-130 and/or prior production ops experience at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics a PLUS.”
Educational and Work Background required: Associates or Bachelors in technical field with technical writing skills and 3-5 years planning manufacturing of complex assemblies in aerospace or automotive.
10+ years in Planning work instructions in aerospace
Military experience with ability to read technical data and good technical writing skills. Aircraft maintenance, mod or support experience in Air Force, Navy, Marines or Army a plus.
Desired Skills:
Experience with technical writing skills and 3-5 years of experience planning manufacture of complex assemblies in aerospace or automotive OR 10+ years in Planning work instructions in aerospace
Degree/Certification a plus
Job Location on site in Greenville, SC
Job is full time 40 hours per week over 4 days.
Job primarily on first and second shift or hybrid to overlap both shifts
Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
- Work Setting: Primarily an office environment with occasional involvement on the shop floor.
- Work Activities: Extensive use of telephone and computer.
- Regulations: Compliance with strict industry procedures.
- Flexibility: Willingness to accommodate business deadlines, potentially by staying late or arriving early.
- Hours: Typically 8-hour workdays plus lunch, totaling 40 hours per week. Core (required) hours are 9 AM to 4 PM.
- Transportation: Ability to use personal transportation to visit customer locations.
